2019 IEEE Symposium Series on Computational Intelligence

IEEE Symposium Series on Computational Intelligence

December 6-9, 2019 Xiamen, China

IEEE Symposium on Artificial Intelligence Forensic Science and Technology Crime Investigation (IEEE AIFSTCI)

Forensic science can be a powerful force in support of justice and public safety. Properly applied, it clears the innocent and helps convict the guilty. Digital forensics is an upcoming field that is high on computation and requires analysis of large and complex data sets. Here, Artificial Intelligence provides a good tool to handle and resolve these large data sets.

Identifying specific types of patterns in large data is one of the crucial elements of forensic science. This may involve image pattern recognition where the software tries to identify different parts of an image or a person. Similarly, there may be other kinds of pattern recognition, such as detecting pattern in a text like email messages, or patterns in a sound file. The Artificial Intelligence apply in Forensic Science and Technology Crime Investigator's profession is one of the fastest growing professions in the world today, as Ballistics, Digital & Multimedia Evidence, DNA & Biological Evidence, Drugs & Toxicology, Pattern Evidence, Trace Evidence, High Technology related with 3D, AR, VR, Big Data, Blockchain…, Cyber Crime, Information Security Issues and Crimes related to them are growing in number and magnitude at an ever-increasing pace.

This symposium will highlight the latest results from world leading research labs, academia and industry in the fields of Artificial Intelligence Forensic Science and Technology Crime Investigation. We encourage paper writers, panel presenters, book authors, and graduate students researching Advanced Forensic Science and Technology Crime Investigation, Forensic Digital Evidence, Standards & Education in Forensics to submit their work to 2019AIFS@gmail.com
