This symposium focuses on the development of information processing technology and its application in information systems. Information processing is the science that concerns with the acquisition, recording, organization, retrieval, display, and dissemination of information. Information processing theory is currently being utilized in the study of computer or artificial intelligence. In recent years, information processing technology has also often been applied to all areas of daily life. Information systems are formal, sociotechnical, organizational systems designed to collect, process, store, and distribute information. There are various types of information systems, for example, transaction processing systems, decision support systems, knowledge management systems, learning management systems, database management systems, and office information systems. The development of information processing technology provides technical support for information system development. This symposium aims to provide an important platform for researchers across all related fields to exchange ideas for information processing technology, and for information system development and applications.
