2019 IEEE Symposium Series on Computational Intelligence

IEEE Symposium Series on Computational Intelligence

December 6-9, 2019 Xiamen, China

IEEE Symposium on Smart Applications in Energy, Transportation, Environment and Water (IEEE ETEW)

Nowadays, due to rapid economic growth and resources development in the world, energy, transportation, environment and water areas/topics attract hot attention for a sustainable human life. Succeeding with previous innovations by Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), smart technologies and new concepts such as Internet of Things (IoT), Industry4.0, Advanced Manufacturing, Cloud-Computing/Super-computing, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, and intelligent sensing, becomes more and more popular in lots of cross-discipline industrial applications. These smart technologies have tremendously increased the productivities and efficiency of industrial production. However, there are still lots of challenges remaining to be solved in science, technologies, engineering problems. Especially for sectors of Energy, transportation, Environment, and Water (ETEW), both challenges and opportunities exist for future smart technology development. This symposium focuses on the challenging issues raised in fields of ETEW. It will discuss how advances in smart technologies can facilitate and integrate software and hardware with ETEW host facilities, in order to make them more productive, efficient, and intelligent in these industrial processes.

Topics
